Abstract: Entering the 21st century, the gaming industry has developed a very close relation with the tourism industry and become a pillar of Macao’s economy. In 2002, the MSAR Government liberalised the gaming industry, through appropriate competition and modern operating and management models, bringing new momentum to Macao’s gaming sector and the entire economy. Although gambling industry create a large amount of job opportunity and economy increase great lot, but cannot ignore existing the bad effects. Based on the social background with the Macao gaming tourism industry as a special study sample, using the PEST to analyze the basis of existing statistical data and survey data, this article assess the influence of the gaming and tourism to Macau. The research of gaming and tourism not only aroused the concern for the industry, but also helps it to solve its problems and challenges, and eventually enhance the competitiveness of the gaming and tourism.
