【摘要】中国农业和农村经济正处在新的发展阶段,随着金融体制改革的不断深化,在农村金融领域经营50多年的农村信用社面临向现代金融企业发展转变的历史性机遇,更面临前所未有的竞争挑战甚至生存考验。作为中国农村金融的主力军和联系广大农民的金融纽带,农村信用社必须适应农业和农村经济发展的这一新情况、新特点、新要求,依靠国家的支持和自身的优势,通过深化改革,将发展方向定位于服务“三农”、当地社区中小型企业贷款以及个人零售业务,并根据不同地区不同发展情况选择适合的发展模式,解决目前面临的资金实力较弱、业务单一、历史包袱沉重、产权制度不明晰等问题,使农村信用社能够更好的服务于“三农”,促进农村金融市场的充分竞争,有效支持社会主义新农村建设。
