摘要:哈代(1840~1928)英国诗人、小说家。他是横跨两个世纪的作家,早期和中期的创作以小说为主,继承和发扬了维多利亚时代的文学传统;晚年以其出色的诗歌开拓了英国20世纪的文学。《苔丝》作为哈代小说的代表作,正是他小说诗歌文学作品思想艺术上的典型作品。《德伯家的苔丝》里的女主人公苔丝是哈代理想化的现代女性。在哈代的理想世界中,苔丝是美丽与爱情的象征,她敢于自我牺牲,勇于自我反抗和对生活抱有的美好愿望。她独特的感情就是对人的爱和信任,女性的温柔和勇敢在她身上完美的融成了一体。

On the Roots of Tess’ Inevitable Tragedy
Abstract
Hardy (1840-1928) British poet, novelist. He is the author across two centuries, the early and mid-fiction works mainly to inherit and carry forward the literary tradition of the Victorian era; their twilight years with excellent poetry pioneering 20th century British literature. As a representative of Hardy’s novels, it is his literary thinking of the typical art works. Tess is the heroine in Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles; she is Hardy’s of the ideal modern women. In Hardy’s ideal world, Tess is a symbol of the beauty and the embodiment of love; she dared to sacrifice, and courage and self-resistance to the aspirations of beautiful life. She is unique to the feelings of the people’s love and trust, and the women’s gentle and courageous could in her one.
