物流是经济社会发展到一定阶段的产物，是区别于过去以运输和仓储管理为主要内容的传统物流而提出的全新的物流概念，泛指原材料、产成品从起点到终点及相关信息有效流动的全过程。其核心是运用系统管理的方法和现代信息技术，实现运输、仓储、装卸、包装、加工、配送、信息处理等环节的有机结合和一体化运作，以达到降低成本、提高效率、优化服务等目的。当前，广西区进入了加快发展的新阶段，随着经济持续快速增长、区域经济合作深入开展以及工业化进程不断推进，经济社会发展对物流的需求日趋增多，要求也日趋提高。因此，促进物流企业发展，充分发挥物流企业在经济社会发展中的积极作用日益显得迫切而重要。本文首先从广西区物流企业的发展现状出发，讲述了广西区物流企业的发展所面临的机遇与挑战。然后对广西区物流企业发展过程中面临的问题进行分析。最从在广西区物流企业的发展现状基础上提出具体措施，以期促进物流企业发展适应广西经济社会发展需要。
